Quesorizo (Chorizo Queso)

I’m talking real queso here. It’s a queso that even Texans approve of (and they’re hard to please when it comes to their prescious queso).

This southern favorite, often referred to as “the caviar of the South”, makes the perfect alternative to offering a selection of cheeses as it can be paired with crackers, vegetables and charcuterie.

Steak & Boursin Cheese Crostini

I love the crispy bread with the flavor of the grilled steak and creamy cheese on top. It may be meant to be an appetizer but whenever my family makes this we always end up filling up on it.

This dish brings the sweet and savory combination of fried chicken and waffles into one bite. The first rubbed with a spice mixture then the wings are dipped in buttermilk and then dredged in ground waffles before they are fried to a golden brown and then drizzled with bourbon maple syrup.

Sweet Chili Wings

These wings are both sweet and spicy; with unique flavors and delicately crispy from a light breading. After several attempts I finally came up with wings like theirs.

Pork Potstickers

There is a certain satisfaction that comes from making a dish yourself that you normally get at a restaurant. These homemade dumplings have a little bit of spice from the Sriracha, are perfectly crispy on the bottom and steamed on top. Taking the extra time and effort to make these from scratch are completely worth it. If you do not have time to make your own hot water dough you can substitute gyoza wrappers or egg roll wrappers cut into circles. Dumplings make the perfect appetizer for large gatherings, and any extras can be frozen before being pan fried so they can easily be saved for a later time.
