Baked Pita Chips
It only takes a few minutes to make these pita chips and who doesn’t love warm, fresh chips. The pita bread is cut into pieces and baked rather than fried until they are crispy. After making these you will never need to buy a bag from the store again. Add any other seasoning of choice before baking for different flavor variations.
4 mini pitas
Canola oil cooking spray, as needed
Kosher salt, to taste
Preheat oven to 400º. Slice pita bread into 6 triangles. Split each piece of the pita bread in half so that it is thinner.
Arrange the pita on an aluminum-foil-lined baking sheet in a single layer. Lightly spray with the canola oil cooking spray and season with salt.
Bake, flipping them half way through cooking, until golden brown and crisp, about 8 minutes.
Makes about 4 dozen pita chips.
